Contract

• This position is within the Public Application Support Branch in the Division of Eligibility Systems.
• Seeking a Business Analyst/Tester to provide functional and technical in-depth analysis and testing for a large-scale IT system.
• Work under deadlines while handling a large workload independently with general direction.
• Apply business analysis skills and knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle.
• Write test plans and perform testing for critical eligibility applications.
• Participate in JAD discussions and review design documents to understand testing requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts and system vendor staff to ensure thorough testing of system changes and functionality.
• Apply knowledge of public assistance and healthcare policies to complete comprehensive system testing.
• Document defects and collaborate with the team to ensure proper resolution.
• Complete smoke testing and provide support after major production releases.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of recent and relevant work experience.
• Three to five years of experience in a Business Analyst or system testing role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Visio.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodology.
• Experience defining business problems, gathering and documenting requirements, determining solutions, and verifying outcomes.
• Ability to manage heavy workloads with minimal supervision.
• Strong relationship management and facilitation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

• Experience writing test plans and executing system testing.
• Experience participating in JAD sessions and reviewing design documentation.
• Experience documenting defects and validating system fixes.
• Experience supporting post-production releases.
• Experience in healthcare or human services systems preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce preferred.
• Experience with SQL preferred.

• Business analysis and requirements documentation.
