RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per schedule cycle

• Every other weekend requirement

• 2 years of hospital experience required, specifically ICU experience

• Kentucky or Compact nursing license required at submission

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH (must be certified annually)

• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 3:1

• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or Emergency Department

• Documentation system:
Meditech Expanse

• Equipment includes Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, Vents, glucometer

• Unit staffing includes Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs

• Procedures performed include telemetry monitoring, paracentesis (physician led), BiPap, therapeutic phlebotomy

• Preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusion, ventilators

• Skills needed: CPap and BiPap management, port access, therapeutic phlebotomy

• Dress code:
Navy or gray scrubs required

• 10-bed ICU unit with full support including director, manager, and clinical educator
