Accountant, Financial Analyst, Accounting & Finance

Robert Half is looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Frankfort, Kentucky, on a contract basis. In this role, you will manage and oversee key financial operations for a non-profit organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the organization's financial health and support its mission through effective financial management.

Responsibilities:

- Perform month-end close procedures and prepare financial statements for multiple entities.

- Analyze financial discrepancies and provide detailed reviews to ensure accuracy.

- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets.

- Process payroll and administer employee benefits, including 401(k) management.

- Oversee cash management activities and financial forecasting for affiliated foundations.

- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes efficiently.

- Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.

- Maintain and track organizational contracts and obligations.

- Collaborate in annual audit preparations and implement internal financial controls.

- Provide backup support and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements - Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations.

- Experience in preparing journal entries and performing bank reconciliations.

- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders.

- Knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration.

- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes.

- Capability to develop and implement internal financial policies and controls.
