By joining our Division of Structural Design as a Geotechnical Services Transportation Engineering Branch Manager in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to oversee professional and technical staff in planning, coordinating, and delivering geotechnical engineering services for statewide transportation projects, ensuring technical quality, efficient project delivery, and collaboration across divisions and partners.
Summary of Responsibilities- Manage and supervise geotechnical engineering staff
- Plan, assign, and coordinate branch work to meet project goals and deadlines
- Review and approve engineering reports, plans, and consultant deliverables
- Provide technical guidance and serve as a subject matter expert in geotechnical engineering
- Coordinate geotechnical activities with federal, state, and local agencies
- Development or implementation of engineering policies, standards, or procedure
- Experience in geotechnical analysis and familiarity with geotechnical laboratory testing
- Leadership or management experience in geotechnical engineering projects
- Experience managing production schedules and workload distribution
- Ability to deliver clear technical recommendations and communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences
