We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will engage in various aspects of solid waste landfill design, including the creation of grading plans, performing volume calculations, ensuring slope stability, and managing stormwater and silt. The role also involves preparing plans and specifications for construction bids and monitoring construction quality assurance. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established team in a stable industry.
Responsibilities- Design solid waste landfills, including grading plans, volume calculations, and slope stability.
- Develop stormwater and silt management facilities, leachate collection, and landfill gas collection systems.
- Prepare plans and specifications for construction bids.
- Monitor Construction Quality Assurance (CQA).
- Collaborate and coordinate with staff and management.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering.
- 0 to 5 years of related experience.
- Ability to obtain a Kentucky PE License.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in civil design and civil engineering principles.
Skills & Qualifications
- EIT or FE certification.
- Experience in landfill, land development, and stormwater management.
Work Environment
The position involves a mix of office and field work, with approximately 60% office-based tasks and 40% fieldwork. You may be required to travel for extended periods, primarily within Kentucky and surrounding states. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
