Used Car Technician

"WANTED" Neil Huffman Nissan Frankfort is looking for a Used Car Technician to join our team.

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Keep shop area neat and clean.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary.
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Perform Multi-Point inspections on pre-owned vehicles.
• Recondition as per used car managers authorization.
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.

• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen.
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively.
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Punctual and reliable
• Basic Computer skills
• Entry-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred.
• Strong physical dexterity for working with tools.

In return we are looking for experienced, highly motivated people who possess a track record of success. Certification in Acura, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda and Volkswagen brands are preferred but NOT required. A positive attitude is a must!
