Mechanic, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Bill’s Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping Inc. a landscaping company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team in Frankfort, Illinois. We are dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces, and we need your expertise to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of our landscaping equipment and vehicles. As a Landscape Company Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of our equipment and vehicles.

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various vehicles, landscape equipment, snowplows, and salt spreaders.
• Operate and perform repairs on skid steers.
• Maintain and repair company vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in equipment and vehicles, providing effective solutions.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and order necessary supplies to maintain a well‑stocked and organized shop.
• Ensure all equipment and vehicles meet safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed on equipment and vehicles.
• Assist in winter snow removal services along with onsite repairs of equipment.

• Minimum 2 years proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in landscaping equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of small engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• A valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.
• Knowledge of tire service and procedures.
• Bilingual a bonus.
