ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
Frankfort, IL.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Direct Hire/Full-Time
- Hours/days: 8am - 5pm (Mon.
- Thur.), (7am - 3:30pm) Fridays - Salary range: $55k - $75k (Based on experience) Will hire entry level - out of college. (Training provided).
- Location:
Frankfort, IL (Office - on-site position) - Full benefits & 401k plan (details at bottom of job description)
- Position will grow into a Project Manager role
- Promote from within, advancement opportunities
- Family-owned smaller company, with a great culture
- Create a schedule of values for the customer
- Layout project with drafter
- Checks all drawings for accuracy throughout project
- Submits drawings to engineering
- Gathers any necessary quotes for outside materials and paint from vendors
- Submits project for customer approval
- Makes any necessary changes throughout submittal phase
- Approves and updates field dimensions submitted by customer
- Release product for fabrication
- Schedules all shipments necessary throughout project
- Communicates with shop during fabrication
- Creates close out documents
- Constant communication with customer through entirety of project/project meetings
- Customer service/ follow up
* Someone with general contractor, sub-contractor, mill work or metal subcontracting experience is the ideal candidate!
- Minimum of 1 - 5 + years' experience in project management, fabrication, mill work, metal custom architectural design.
- Experience working as a sub-contractor or general contractor is a plus.
- Must know how to read Architectural Drawings
- Must possess and exhibit a positive, "can do" attitude even in high stress situations with an unwavering commitment to "world class customer service"
- Excellent communicator (oral and written), assertive, highly organized, determined to succeed, detail oriented and enthusiastic
- Ability to focus in a busy, team environment and working with the Customer/Engineering/Drafter & Shop Supervisor in an effective manner
- Ability to conceive new approaches, streamline processes, and create customer interactions
- AutoCAD & Drafting experience preferred
- Strong time management skills with ability to multi-task
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
