Position Overview
Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Technician
Location: Framingham, MA
12‑hour rotating position in a flexible, single‑use technology, large‑scale cGMP biologics facility. Initial responsibilities will include leading a team through plant start‑up from operational commissioning/shakedown through process validation (PV) and commercial operations. The Sr. Manufacturing Technician will perform complex tasks under general guidance and in accordance with the manufacturing instruction set and current GMPs.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain a safe working environment and report incidents/accidents to Manufacturing management.
- Demonstrate understanding of GMPs and how they apply to specific responsibilities.
- Follow verbal and written procedures in operating production equipment and performing processing steps; accurately complete appropriate production documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in process area.
- Ensure production area is stocked with supplies.
- Perform SOP revisions and work order generation.
- Interact with other support functions such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing Engineering, MSIT, Validation, etc.
- Utilize manufacturing knowledge to improve process operations and effect positive change.
- Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical operations.
- Effectively utilize Microsoft Office applications.
- Mentor less experienced operators.
- Perform in‑process analytical testing.
- Demonstrate general knowledge of automation systems (INFOR, MES, ERP, Delta
V). - Demonstrate general knowledge and practice of aseptic techniques.
- Support plant floor continuous improvement initiatives.
- High School diploma/GED with 1‑3 years in cGxP manufacturing environment; or Biotech Certificate or Biotech associate’s degree with no prior experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotech with no prior experience.
- Effectively use process automation systems to operate production processes (i.e., Delta
V).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand on average 10 hours per shift.
- Ability to gown and gain entry to manufacturing areas.
- Ability to work a twelve‑hour rotating shift and every other weekend, including holidays as scheduled.

- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., and bend/lift/move objects as part of the job.
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours a day (with occasional breaks).
