Business Analyst - Mid-Level

• 1 year contract with the potential to extend (this is a replacement JP so the end date will not a show as a year assignment so ignore the end date in FG)

• Interview process: 2 rounds; 1st with HM and 2nd with a 2 person panel

• Role will support Client's environmental sustainability program

• Role will help with analysis of current state and future state of facility discussions

• Derive IT requirements

• Will work in partnership with a Product Manager, Program Manager and other team members

• Role will be responsible for traditional business analyst responsibilities with some product owner responsibilities (ex: translating requirements into user stories)

Compliance Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) BA Contractor

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The mission of our client's Global Compliance and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Organization is to enable the company's "license to operate" via solutions that pioneer ESG responsibility, diligent regulatory adherence, and risk management. The team is accountable for building the functionality to track and report progress on sustainability goals as well as improving processes related to sourcing sustainable goods and materials.

The BA contractor will be a member of the IT ESG scrum team responsible for the elicitation, refinement, and documentation of user stories.

Core

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzes complex cross functional business processes and defines business and functional requirements in the form of Features and User Stories

• Creates product team deliverables, including business process maps, data flow diagrams, user journey maps, and use case scenarios, using industry standard techniques

• Facilitates and contributes to team backlog refinement, including user story documentation, estimation & testing considerations

• Collaborates on the creation of test cases

• Acts as a functional SME for business stakeholders and the scrum team

• Communicates effectively with senior Business stakeholders to identify and prioritize needs, articulate business impact and evaluate alternative business solutions

• Coordinates activities across cross-functional teams (Business and IT)

Required

Experience and Skills:

• 5-10 years IT BA experience.

• Experience with agile methodologies

• Strong understanding and exhibited experience with business analysis best practices

• Knowledge of IT Software development lifecycle

• Ability to work independently and as a team member alongside matrix project teams

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate to both technical engineers and business users

Preferred

Experience and Skills:

• Experience with environmental sustainability processes and technology

• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprises (SAFe), including key events such as Program Increment (PI) planning
