Job Summary
The Junior Data Analyst partners with cross-functional business teams to source, analyze, and report on data that supports operational and financial decision-making. This role focuses on report development, data quality improvement, and translating complex datasets into actionable insights while supporting ongoing and ad‑hoc reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to source data from multiple datasets
- Identify new reporting opportunities and develop business‑driven reports
- Design and maintain reports and databases
- Train end users on reporting tools and outputs
- Document reporting process flows and methodologies
- Analyze data to identify trends, connections, and issues impacting operational and financial controls
- Support ad‑hoc reporting and special projects as assigned
- Collaborate closely with business teams to improve data collection and data quality
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working with large datasets
- Intermediate to advanced Power BI experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze data using business intelligence tools
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of data warehousing and data lake architecture
- Experience with Excel uploads and structured datasets
- Prior retail industry experience
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Preferred fields:
Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Preferred fields:
- 1–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
