What

you will be doing:

As a Payroll professional, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. You’ll manage complex payroll activities while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to support associates and the business. This role delivers excellent customer service to Staples associates and business partners by applying multi-state payroll knowledge. Key duties include handling time and attendance submissions, processing payroll requests for assigned departments, and ensuring timely and accurate pay.

The position also assists field managers with payroll questions and serves as a liaison between business units and Corporate Payroll.

What’s needed:

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and administration
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
  • Proven ability to manage a large and complex caseload with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ADP, Paychex, or SAP
  • Advanced Excel skills, including creating and managing complex spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of international payroll regulations and processes
  • Previous experience with Oracle HCM or Kronos, with the ability to navigate, troubleshoot, and support system functionality
