POSITION SUMMARY :
To provide direct pedagogical/instructional instruction to teachers in elementary ESL, SEI, and Dual Language Bilingual Education (Portuguese/English) programs in order to deliver Framingham Public Schools’ high expectations for achievement, equal access to high levels of instruction, the achievement of academic proficiency for all students, and the closing of the opportunity gap among subgroups within the schools.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Massachusetts Teaching license in ESL (K-6) and SEI Endorsement are required. Please note that licensure requirements are subject to change at the discretion of DESE.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in ESL, Linguistics, and/or related field
- Experience in mobilizing instruction in Portuguese and English.
- At least 3 years of working as an ESL teacher or similar experience in the field of language development.

to use reasoning ability to evaluate information and determine/recommend an appropriate course of action; to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; to use professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education content to make practice decisions; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff and the community; to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage several projects simultaneously;
