Summer 2026 Position SummaryThe Framingham Youth Theatre (FYT) Summer Program Director provides executive‑level leadership, artistic vision, and administrative expertise, ensuring the successful development and execution of a premier summer performing‑arts program. This role is responsible for the entire program lifecycle—from initial concept and staff recruitment to the final curtain call—ensuring a rigorous, inclusive, and high‑quality experience for all participants. Key responsibilities include strategic program design, financial oversight, staff supervision, and the cultivation of a safe, creative environment that meets the diverse developmental needs of student performers.
The FYT Summer Program Director serves as the primary face of the program for the district, families, and the community. This role requires exceptional organizational leadership, advanced artistic judgment, and the ability to manage large‑scale production projects in a high‑stakes, fast‑paced environment. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations- Candidates holding a valid license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) are preferred.
