Job Description:

* EXAMPLES OF DUTIES FOR PART-TIME FACULTY:

• Teach course(s) in Communication Arts, Film Production, Media Culture & Society, and/or Performance.
• Teach in online, hybrid, or face-to-face formats.
• Develop syllabi and instructional materials.
• Assess student performance.
• Provide assistance and mentorship to students.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Evidence of expertise, scholarly activity, or creative work appropriate to the discipline.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and belonging in the curriculum and the classroom.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• PhD, MFA, or other terminal degree.
• Successful college teaching experience.

Additional Information:

This posting is for potential part-time, non-benefited, day program faculty positions in the Communication, Media, & Performance Department. The current salary rate for a typical lecture course (4 contact hours) taught by a new part-time faculty member in the day program is $6,535.44, paid through bi-weekly payroll direct deposit. Rates may vary for other course types based on contact hour equivalencies.
