About the Role
Our client, a long-established and plaintiff-focused personal injury law firm with over four decades of experience, is actively expanding its litigation team to hire an Associate Trial Attorney. Known for its strong advocacy on behalf of injured individuals—especially public safety professionals—they are seeking a litigation-minded attorney eager to take ownership of cases and pursue them aggressively, including through trial when warranted.
This opportunity is well-suited for an Associate Trial Attorney who thrives in the courtroom, whether already experienced or highly motivated to build litigation chops through depositions, motion arguments, and trial work.
- Independently manage a caseload from intake through resolution, including both settlement and trial
- Engage in litigation planning, including discovery, motion practice, and overall case strategy
- Appear in court for status conferences, hearings, and dispositive motion arguments, depending on experience
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Assist with or lead trial prep efforts, including organizing exhibits and preparing witnesses
- Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, memoranda, and trial-related documents
- Analyze case value, liability exposure, and insurance factors with a trial-first mindset
- Prepare demand letters and participate in mediation, settlement negotiations, and court-facilitated conferences
- Maintain direct communication with clients, providing consistent and high-quality service
- A trial-oriented attorney committed to growing courtroom experience
- Minimum of 3 years in litigation, preferably personal injury, including
- Motion drafting and argument
- Taking/defending depositions
- Trial prep or courtroom exposure
- Admission in Massachusetts (active and in good standing) is required;
Rhode Island admission is a plus - Strong legal writing and research capabilities
- Professional demeanor and confidence in court appearances
- Solid organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Prior experience in workers’ compensation is beneficial but not required
- Team-oriented, receptive to mentoring, feedback, and continuous growth
- Competitive base compensation with performance bonuses tied to results

- Salary range: $80,000 – $150,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
