Job DescriptionPrimary Objective:
- Develop & support delivery pipeline of Windows images (configuration management via Chef, image management via Packer/Boxcutter or alternative) from AWS to remote devices running Linux (configuration management via Chef) via ZFS snapshot replication.
- Manage & script Linux hardware servers.
- Work in unreliable network environments.
- Develop automated testing processes to improve availability & reduce variance.
- Contribute to Synthetic Monitoring efforts using New Relic Synthetic Pro to detect failures on hybrid cloud solutions.
Requirements:
- Engineering skills to accelerate critical software encapsulation from Windows to UX for hosted and cloud infrastructure with new product releases.
- Linux Administration (Ubuntu), including advanced firewall configuration, ZFS, performance analysis, repeatable on-metal deployment, and monitoring.
- Certificate management, Chef development, Packer/Boxcutter experience to automate image deployment & versioning.
- Strong CI/CD skills, including automated infrastructure testing and experience with New Relic Synthetics Pro.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Must be a citizen or have a green card.
- MUST have experience with Chef and managing image pipelines (building image pipelines).
