Senior Physical Therapist (PT)

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist

  • Provide pelvic floor physical therapy care for patients of all genders.

Job Summary

The Rehabilitation Services Department provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and orthopedic technician services. Brigham and Women’s Hospital is a nationally ranked academic medical center in Massachusetts.

Senior Physical Therapists must have at least four years of clinical experience with strong clinical knowledge and skills. They will join a team with diverse clinical backgrounds and must have an unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Their primary responsibility is to provide patient care in accordance with State licensing regulations, departmental standards and policies, and accepted professional standards of care. Therapists will treat adult patients with a variety of diagnoses across a range of acuity. They should be able to treat patients from diverse backgrounds and identities.

Senior physical therapists serve as mentors to other staff and collaborate with other rehabilitation disciplines and the multidisciplinary team. They will assist in staff education and training, triaging patient consults, program development, quality initiatives, and optimizing departmental policies and procedures. They will have opportunities for clinical growth through internal continuing education programming, financial support for external continuing education, and access to a formal mentorship program.

They may also participate in Rehabilitation Department Committees to support professional growth (e.g., Community Resource, Practice Standards, Staff Development, Rehab Recognition, Research).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consult with other health care team members to ensure coordination and effectiveness of therapies.
