California Fish Grill is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve high‑quality fish dishes. Join a team committed to safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.

Salary: $16.50–$22.00 per hour

- Prepare and cook food served using established procedures and systems.
- Determine the amount and type of food and supplies required.
- Ensure availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in time for preparation.
- Set and maintain the steam table.
- Serve or ensure proper serving of food for tray line or dining areas.
- Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health regulations.
- Store food properly and safely, marking date and location.
- Complete food temperature checks before serving.
- Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance.
- Maintain daily production schedules and coordinate with meal‑serving hours.
- Keep work area neat and clean at all times (including dishwashing).
- Clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
- Complete requirements for in‑service training, attendance, uniform and dress codes, personal hygiene, and other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED; 2–3 years related food service experience or equivalent combination.
- Prior experience in food service positions.
- Valid Serv Safe® or other approved Food Handler Certification.
- High level of integrity and honesty.
- Support the mission, values, and vision of California Fish Grill.
- Assist with safety procedures, fire/safety plans, security, and equipment repair and maintenance.
- Maintain confidentiality of all data.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance, regulatory, and anti‑discrimination policies.
- Contribute to team collaboration and communication with co‑workers, supervisors, and guests.
- Restaurant operations, food safety and sanitation, customer service.
- Safe work habits and procedures (knife handling, lifting, carrying trays).
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity, auditory, and visual skills.
- Follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Takes initiative, adaptability.
- Teamwork, work at fast pace, sound decision‑making.
- Customer focus, strategic thinking, optimizing work processes.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Frequent standing, reaching, stooping in fast‑paced environment.
