Purpose- The role of the Director, Genesis Digital & Performance Marketing is to deliver extraordinary digital customer experiences through digitally facing consumer platforms, automation of personalization “next best actions”, and deep understanding of data (first and third party). This position will lead the team through multiple digital transformations on strategic, implementation, and optimization levels. This position will also have to coordinate directly with HMA Information Technology, Marketing Committee, Retail Advisory Board (RAB), agencies, and vendors.
The highest priorities will be to deliver best in class consumer websites/apps, collect and analyze the data, automate data to actionable business results, improve Genesis digital services offerings and market competitiveness, ensure dealers are successful in the digital space, and take/share best practices with appropriate departments/partners.
- Be able to access reporting, program statuses, and targets to stay on top of frequent attendance of reporting meetings, sharing of KPIs, understanding of optimizations, and preparing of Executive Management in advance of Governance.
- Closely coordinate analytics with the Exec. Director of Marcom and media planning manager along with their teams to ensure data compliance and cross performance of business areas.
- Oversee reporting on weekly, monthly, and quarterly results including division financials.
- Identify the areas and roadmap that will drive forward the Genesis business efficiently, effectively, and wherever possible leveraging a global framework that is scalable.
- Ensure Genesis stakeholders and partners are aware of trends and roadmaps, as well as the business opportunities that will affect Genesis.
- Partner with IT, agencies, Connected Car department, Mar Com, and Research & Development for driving innovation, operational excellence and ensuring market requirements are met in a cost-effective path forward. From strategy, development and reporting these relationships will be critical to own, maintain and collaborate across all these teams’ leadership levels.
- Ensure clear communications to all stakeholders to align, motivate, troubleshoot any roadblocks, or challenges the team is met with.
- Foster a culture of continuous employee development through goals, growth targets and action plans.
- Guarantee dealers have the tools (website, ecommerce, lead management, etc.) they need at tier 3 to be successful in digital marketing with website.
- Ensure brand compliance is met regarding website functionality, product nomenclature and brand protection.
- Manage the dealer digital training program that supports dealers and Genesis field employees for emerging and prioritized topics.
- Partner with legal to stay informed of changing customer/business data landscape, ADA requirements, compliance with US laws of customer communications, data privacy, and tracking.
- Ensure that market requirements are protected and considered on all global platforms required.
- Follow all processes, approvals, and requirements for Genesis.
- Authorization of purchasing/accounting documents associated with sub-division.
- Operating Budget performance and management.
- Develop, mentor, and conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Execution of programs & initiatives to further GMA’s corporate goals.
- Management and protection of all GMA assets.
- Team direction, goal setting, and performance evaluation.
