Senior Custodian - EVS - FT - Variable - Los Alamitos at UCI Health

As a Senior Custodian, you will perform skilled and semi‑skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and general maintenance duties in inpatient, outpatient, and non‑patient areas. You will exercise care when using supplies and equipment, including tile and carpet care maintenance (stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing). Various related housekeeping duties may be assigned as needed.

• Perform skilled and semi‑skilled cleaning and housekeeping tasks in acute and non‑acute settings.
• Use supplies and equipment with care and precaution.
• Execute resilient tile and carpet care maintenance, including stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing.
• Assist with related housekeeping duties as assigned.

• Previous experience working in a service industry position.
• Previous experience interacting with internal and external customers.
• Customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Ability to work in various locations and on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.

• Demonstrated custodial experience working in a healthcare environment.
