The Senior Custodian performs skilled and semi‑skilled cleaning, housekeeping, and general maintenance duties in acute and non‑acute inpatient, outpatient, and non‑patient areas. The role includes care and caution in the use of supplies and equipment while performing custodial tasks, and the maintenance of resilient tile and carpet (stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction/shampooing). Other related housekeeping duties may be performed as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Previous experience working in a service‑industry position
- Previous experience interacting with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated customer‑service skills appropriate to the job
- Ability to work in various locations and rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Fluent in English; can read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Demonstrated custodial experience working in a healthcare environment
