The Engineer, System – Chassis is responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and customer satisfaction of Hyundai and Genesis chassis systems—including steering & handling, brakes, and chassis NVH. This role evaluates vehicles, validates field issues, develops countermeasures, supports new model launches, and provides technical guidance across the organization to improve product reliability and serviceability.

• Validate product complaints through qualitative analysis, warranty parts review, and identification of new, emerging, and systemic product issues.
• Develop and implement countermeasures for field repairs and production in coordination with HMC and affiliated organizations.
• Ensure timely publication of all applicable Technical Service Bulletins.
• Support initiatives to achieve strong performance in CR, IQS, and VDS surveys.

• Bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering or related science preferred.
• Master’s degree in automotive engineering, or related science a plus.
• Six or more years of automotive experience (retail or wholesale experience preferred).
• Strong understanding of automotive chassis, steering, braking, and NVH systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

• Compensation Range: $69,300.00 - $ annual base salary

• Able to travel for vehicle evaluations, dealer visits, and testing activities.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Occasional evening/weekend work as needed.
