The Associate Scientist will join the In Vivo Pharmacology team supporting pre‑clinical studies in mice, with a specific focus on ex vivo analyses related to in vivo studies. This role plays a critical part in generating mechanistic insights for multiple programs utilizing engineered human chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR T cells). The candidate will work within an established, collaborative scientific environment and contribute to advancing cutting‑edge cell therapy research.
Key Responsibilities- Characterize immune parameters including cell expansion and phenotype using ex vivo blood samples from pre‑clinical mouse studies involving engineered human CAR T cells
- Process and analyze ex vivo blood samples using flow cytometry, molecular biology, and other analytical techniques
- Assess antigen expression of tumor cell lines via flow cytometry to support in vivo studies
- Collaborate effectively within a cross‑functional team environment
- Present data and actively participate in project team and cross‑departmental meetings
- Demonstrate and uphold core values including passion, teamwork, integrity, and trust
- Master's Degree with 2+ years of relevant scientific experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of relevant scientific experience
- Associate Degree with 5+ years of relevant scientific experience
- High School Diploma with 6+ years of relevant scientific experience
- MS or BS in Biology or a related scientific discipline
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience with multi‑color flow cytometry and complex fluorochrome‑conjugated antibody panels
- Strong immunology background with experience in phenotypic analysis of multiple human immune cell populations and markers of activation/exhaustion
- Experience with data analysis tools including Flow Jo, Graph Pad Prism, and Client FACSDiva
- Experience with additional molecular biology techniques such as ddPCR
- Proven ability to independently conduct analyses while contributing effectively within a team
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced scientific environment with a high degree of integrity and attention to detail
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and documentation skills, including experience with electronic lab notebooks such as Benchling
- Excellent troubleshooting, critical analysis, interpretation, and written and verbal communication skills
