The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) group at Gilead Sciences is seeking a candidate for the position of Sr Research Associate with the primary responsibility to providing bio-analytical support to biologics discovery project teams. A successful scientist will work closely with protein therapeutics, biology, toxicology, and pharmaceutical development to optimize leads and select candidates for clinical evaluation.
Role
Summary:
The primary responsibility of this Biologics Bioanalytical Research Associate is to provide bioanalytical support to DMPK project representatives on biologics discovery teams.
Key Responsibilities- Support development, optimization, and execution of ligand-binding assays (e.g., ELISA, MSD, Gyrolab) for large molecules in biological matrices.
- Coordinate sample analysis and data review for nonclinical studies.
- Draft and review study plans, assay qualifications reports, and summary data reports.
- Ensure timely data delivery and scientific quality of bioanalytical support.
- Lead interactions with CROs for study design, protocol development, and study execution, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Timeline and scientific quality.
- Provide critical lab support while working in a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor's Degree and two Years' Experience
- OR
- Masters' Degree and no experience
- BS/MS degree in biology, chemistry, pharmacology, or related life science discipline with 3+ years relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with ligand-binding assays (ELISA, MSD, Gyrolab) for large molecules.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Candidate must be flexible, able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires extensive use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power point) and use of data analysis software Graphpad Prism, Softmax Pro, and Phoenix Win Nonlin.
- Hands on experience in one or more large molecule immunoassay techniques (ELISA, MSD, Gyrolab, or similar) is desired.
