Job Description

Providing secure and reliable payments around the world is made possible by the Global Risk Products team at Visa, focused on delivering the fraud detection and prevention solutions that enable every good transaction to be approved, every bad transaction to be declined, all with a seamless customer experience, across all payment networks. Central to this strategy is the use of AI/ML models that are trained to detect fraud in the card payment ecosystem.

Visa has pioneered these capabilities for over 25 years, and we are increasingly leveraging AI to optimize our risk solutions, enhance product effectiveness, and adapt more rapidly to the evolving needs of the global digital‑payments ecosystem.

We are looking for an experienced product manager that is passionate about innovation and developing solutions that identify and mitigate financial fraud while maximizing approvals of legitimate transactions. In this role, you will help integrate AI into our products by shaping requirements, guiding delivery, and ensuring AI‑driven enhancements translate into measurable improvements for our clients.

The Staff Product Manager is a hands-on, execution-oriented product management role, focused on the definition and delivery of high-value products in an agile, market driven environment. You will work closely with other members of the Global Risk Products team, regional Risk Product teams, technology, and agile project teams to ensure clarity of vision, requirements, and objectives for solutions on our fraud risk platform.

You will be responsible for leading the rapid design and build of our cutting-edge products. This role will focus on bringing a pipeline of product concepts at different stages of the development cycle to life.

Essential Functions:

The Staff Product Manager will be responsible for delivering, maintaining, and continuously improving a suite of risk products that support Visa and non-Visa transactions. This is what you can expect day-to-day:

  • Partner with product teams to define product strategy and roadmap
  • Design technology requirements
  • Work closely with multiple technology teams across Software Development, AI / Data Science and Infrastructure
  • Perform the scrum product owner role, including prioritizing features, managing the product backlog, and participating in scrum ceremonies
  • Develop input to early stages of the product development lifecycle via sound market, statistical, and data analyses. This includes business model, market sizing and funding requirements
  • Build strong communication with partners in Product, Technology, Predictive Analytics, Legal, Marketing, Client Services, Sales, Finance, Risk and Visa’s clients
  • Champion the integration of AI and machine learning into risk products, collaborating with data science and engineering teams to drive product optimization and innovation.
  • Ensure platform stability and performance by proactively monitoring product usage, managing operational issues, and driving continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
  • Play an instrumental role in the Global Risk Products team, actively participating in the overall strategy design, commercialization, and execution of Risk Products.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
