We are seeking a visionary Sr. Manager, Data Science to drive high-impact, cross‑functional initiatives across therapeutic areas that deliver strategic value and innovation throughout the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner in industrializing predictive sciences to understand patient journey and market triggers.
- Translate commercial business objectives into scalable data‑science products and insights influencing marketing, sales, medical, and other functions.
- Lead end‑to‑end data‑science projects, converting unstructured business questions into solutions, coding, debugging, and stakeholder communication.
- Foster a culture of measurement and impact, continuously improving models.
- Design robust propensity and other predictive models for commercial use.
- Create reproducible, refreshable data‑science products.
- Coordinate model retraining schedules and measure impact with other Data Scientists.
- Collaborate with global teams to replicate successful models.
- Communicate complex backend concepts in accessible language.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree + 8 yrs experience OR Master’s Degree + 6 yrs OR PhD + 2 yrs.
- Strong knowledge of machine‑learning algorithms (regression, clustering, neural networks, Bayesian, RNN, CNN, tree‑based, SMOTE, etc.).
- Proven experience building, implementing, and using AI‑based solutions with business impact.
- Leadership to manage initiatives end to end.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
Preferred Experience
- Implementing, optimizing, and using AI solutions with proven business impact.
- Experience with pharma and consumer data types (patient claims, Xponent, Plantrak, sales, activity).
- Knowledge of pharma datasets (IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo claims, Optum, Definitive Health, Health Verity, EMR/HER).
- Python expertise (numpy, pandas, scikit‑learn, seaborn, networkx).
- Understanding of cloud technologies (Databricks, S3).
- Designing measurement solutions in visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
- Product mindset and familiarity with product management principles.
- Team player, inclusive, cross‑functional, solution‑oriented.
- Knowledge of emerging data science capabilities and dataset limitations.

Salary Range:
Bay Area $169,320 – $219,120;
Other US $153,935 – $199,210.
