Job DescriptionPosition Overview
The Executive Director, Global Commercial Product Strategy for Lenacapavir for Prevention is responsible for shaping and leading the global commercial vision, strategy, and execution for one of Gilead’s most important long-acting HIV prevention portfolio. This leader will oversee global commercial launch of lenacapavir for HIV prevention and guide early commercial planning for future lenacapavir prevention assets in the pipeline. The role drives cross functional alignment, regional partnership, market development, and launch excellence to enable sustained global growth.
This position requires a strategic, collaborative leader with deep global commercial expertise, strong cross-functional leadership capabilities, and a passion for advancing HIV prevention worldwide.
Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal Strategy & Leadership – Lead a cross-geography commercialization strategy and execution team to define and deliver the global commercial vision, long-range strategy, and integrated annual plans for the lenacapavir prevention portfolio.
Serve as Commercialization Team Leader
, enabling decision making across Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Value & Access, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, and Insights partners.Lead the development of the Indication Strategic Plan (ISP) and Global Plan of Action (GPOA), ensuring clear linkage to regional and country HIV prevention plans.
Lead, coach, and develop a high performing global team, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Manage and shape external partnerships, agency relationships, and global marketing investments.
Build strong and trusted partnerships with Gilead’s priority (G9) and emerging markets to ensure global strategies are actionable, scalable, and tailored to local needs.
Collaborate closely with Value & Access to shape pricing, access, and reimbursement strategies across diverse healthcare, prevention, and policy environments.
Support global guidelines, policy, and ecosystem shaping efforts to expand access to long-acting HIV prevention.
Integrate global market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer needs into commercial, clinical, access, and evidence generation strategies.
Identify and translate market, customer, and ecosystem insights into clear business opportunities, strategic priorities, and global commercial plans.
Lead global launch readiness and market preparation for the ex-US rollout of lenacapavir for Prevention, ensuring coordinated preparation across regions.
Oversee early commercial planning and readiness activities for future lenacapavir prevention assets as they advance through development.
Drive global brand positioning, messaging, and multichannel campaign development to ensure clear differentiation and strong early market establishment.
