We are currently looking for Therapeutic Specialist to join our Oncology Business Unit in Karadeniz.
Specific responsibilitiesResponsible for identifying and mapping out patient referral pathways within your territory and facilitating patient access to treatment.
Prepare business plan for your territory, communicate required actions to achieve goals.
Establish and develop business relationships with key customers, accounts and relevant key opinion leaders. Responsible for setting and achieving SPL? and delivering on related KPIs.
Responsible for achieving coverage and frequency targets, and consistently achieving sales targets in assigned territory.
Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events and other miscellaneous external expenditures.
Communicate and function across the commercial team, ensuring efficient collaboration on projects; assist in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, and communicate proactively to management.
Organize sales initiatives within the market as directed and follow up on these to ensure their successful completion.
Work co‑operatively with the brand team Medical, Marketing and Market Access on various cross‑functional projects.
May represent company at professional events and promote company products at such events.
May take the lead on projects within team e.g. liaison role with marketing, meetings coordinator etc.
Complete necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner e.g. updating customer database, expenses etc.
Contribute to regional training, developing the key skills of other team members.
Initiate systems to monitor sales progress and action plans. Regularly measure success, document and provide feedback on performance.
Responsible for achieving the competency levels required in the role.
Compliance with country regulations and code of conduct at all times.
Role will require travel and depending on location the need for overnight stays.
Knowledge, experience and skillsThe ideal candidate will have a passion for commercializing breakthrough medicines, a strong competitive and commercial mindset, robust scientific acumen and a patient‑centric approach.
Has a proven track record of successful pharmaceutical medical or healthcare sales experience and relevant disease/product knowledge.
Is familiar with industry trends and remains current with competitor’s resources and practices. Can speak to the pros and cons (overall goals of plan, cost vs. efficacy, dosing, duration, etc.) of a product protocol, and asks in‑depth questions of experts to clarify understanding.
Serves as an expert of assigned product, therapeutic/disease classes, and patient needs in order to educate/influence key physicians/community members. Can credibly discuss the science of therapeutic products with relevant stakeholders.
Demonstrates a sound understanding of external business drivers and internal company operations. Understands Gilead staffing and decision‑making networks, and how to get work done within the institution. Incorporates this knowledge into business plans.
Has proven expertise in interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, along with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
Demonstrates solid analytical skills, proactively identifies issues, opportunities, and resolutions and is able to present and effectively communicate issues and recommendations to management.
Must be self‑motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence.
Previous pharmaceutical experience is essential and relevant therapeutic working knowledge is desirable.
Must be able to work in cross‑functional teams.
Specific education and experience requirementsTypical candidates will possess a BA or MA degree, and 4+ years of relevant sales experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Prior experience in Oncology therapeutic area highly desired.
