Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $70-75/h + Benefits
- Operate dynamo meters to simulate driving conditions and execute electrical fault injection on HIL test assets.
- Perform electrical testing on various vehicle systems including lighting, thermal, charging, powertrain, perception, and safety, on both static and dynamic test assets.
- Maintain, enhance, and automate existing Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with firmware developers, technicians, and system owners to understand firmware releases, system updates, and compatibility issues.
- Analyze test results by configuring data-logging hardware such as CANalyzer, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues as they arise.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in testing or engineering roles related to electrical or mechatronic systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating exceptional ability.
- Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical system integration and testing, including familiarity with HIL systems like dSPACE, CANoe, or LabVIEW.
- Proficiency with electronic lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
