JOB TITLE:
Forward Deployed Engineer
LOCATION:
Foster City, CA
DURATION:
Permanent
RATE RANGE: $150k - $200k
The FDE is a customer-embedded product owner responsible for converting high-stakes Proofs of Concept (POCs) into structured, shippable product decisions under commercial time pressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Translate ambiguous customer requirements into structured Product Requirements Documents (PRDs)
- Maintain alignment between commercial expectations and engineering delivery
- Ensure metrics and instrumentation accurately reflect customer intent
- 5+ years in Product Management, Forward Deployed Engineering, Sales Engineering or a similar role with strong product ownership
- Demonstrated experience translating ambiguity into executable requirements
- Strong technical fluency and ability to collaborate deeply with Product Managers and Engineers
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
