JOB TITLE: Test Engineering Technician
LOCATION: Foster City, CA (Onsite)
PAY RANGE: $29 - $39/hr.
DURATION: 6 months
Top 3 Skills- Proven ability to build industrial-grade test systems and work with electrical and mechanical subsystems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and engineering drawings, with hands-on experience using lab equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
- AA or higher in electrical, electronics, or mechanical technology with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience
As a part of our Test & Diagnostic Engineering team, our test technicians set up, execute, and debug tests on our sensors and compute hardware. Our team is responsible for providing test solutions for manufacturing and testing hardware to ensure high performance and high reliability. We are detail-oriented to ensure our test plans are executed with high fidelity. We are collaborative and work together to tackle projects as a team.
We are looking for motivated individuals who have experience building test stations with electrical and mechanical subsystems, aren’t afraid to challenge themselves, and are eager to learn.
- Develop, build, validate, troubleshoot, and support automated test stations in both lab and high-volume production environments.
- Create and review test/process documentation and provide inputs for refinement and improvements.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure that products under development have optimal manufacturability.
- Follow drawings, written, and verbal instructions to complete work assignments.
- Travel between work sites may be required.
- AA or higher in electrical/electronics/mechanical technology with 3 years of industry-related experience.
- Proven ability to build industrial-grade test systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and/or engineering drawings.
- Experience with assembling and repairing wiring harnesses.
- Familiarity with standard electrical engineering lab equipment (e.g., Digital Multimeters, Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
- Familiarity with Linux
- Automotive ECU test experience
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated.
