Overview
Hire Art is helping our client find an Engineering Technician to support the setup, execution, and debugging of tests on sensors and compute hardware. In this role, you’ll help develop test solutions that ensure manufacturing processes and hardware systems meet high-performance and reliability standards. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers to build and validate automated test stations and support hardware development from prototype through production.
Expected compensation: 40.45 USD Per Hour.
As an Engineering Technician, You ll
Responsibilities- Develop, build, validate, troubleshoot, and support automated test stations in both lab and high-volume production environments.
- Create, review, and refine test documentation, work instructions, and process workflows.
- Partner closely with engineers to ensure products under development meet manufacturability and testability requirements.
- Interpret and follow electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Assist with assembling and repairing wiring harnesses and related components.
- Travel between work sites as needed to support testing and development activities.
- AA degree or higher in electrical, electronics, or mechanical technology, plus 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Proven ability to build industrial-grade test systems
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and engineering drawings
- Ability to independently build and configure test stations from technical documents, schematics, and drawings
- Experience assembling and repairing wiring harnesses
- Familiarity with standard electrical engineering lab equipment (e.g., digital multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes)
- Hands-on Linux experience sufficient to provision and initialize computer systems for testing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure
- General automotive industry background
- Automotive ECU test experience

This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via Hire Art. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
