Your Role as KEFF Adventure LeadAs the KEFF Adventure Lead
, you’ll design, coordinate, and lead innovative programs that inspire pre-teens to step outside their comfort zones. From off-site day trips to exciting on-site activities, you’ll be at the helm of creating an adventurous summer filled with learning, laughter, and growth.
- Plan and oversee engaging on-site and off-site programs for campers in grades 6-9.
- Drive campers and staff to off-site locations, ensuring safety and compliance with camp policies.
- Foster a physically and emotionally safe environment where campers feel supported and empowered.
- Handle conflicts with care and sensitivity, promoting understanding and resolution.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and parents to ensure seamless program execution.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to enhance and innovate programming for middle schoolers.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and remain flexible to meet the needs of the day.
Schedule:
- June 15 – August 7 (with limited schedules to August 21)
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm, with mandatory staff training from June 1 - June 12 (8am-4:00pm including an overnight)
Compensation: $1,034–$1,199 per week based on experience, plus overnight bonuses and free PJCC Athletic Center membership.
Qualifications- Experience:
Must be 21 years or older - Valid driver’s license required;
Class B license strongly preferred - Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with middle school–aged youth in educational, recreational, or camp settings
- Passion for Youth: A passion for working with middle school aged children
- Curriculum Development:
Strong background in program planning, supervision, and team leadership. - Certifications:
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain before camp starts); lifeguard certification is a plus. - Team Player:
Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse populations. - Camp
Experience:
Prior experience in a camp setting is a bonus.
- Open House June 10th 6:00-8:00pm
- Staff Overnight Camping Trip June 12th
- Family Pool Party June 24th 6:00-8:00pm
- Family Shabbat Picnic July 31st 6:00-8:00pm
