Phlebotomist

Labcorp is looking for a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or a Client office. You will provide outstanding customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and serve as the face of the company.

Sign‑On Bonus: $5,000 (active Labcorp employees are not eligible)

Pay Range: $21.00 – $33.00 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm; overtime and rotating weekends may be required.

Work Location: 3302 Renner Dr., Fortuna, CA

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Job Requirements:

• Valid California‑issued Phlebotomy License or application filed with the California Department of Health at time of hire.
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
• Must attend a 2‑week training in California.
