The RoleWe are currently recruiting for Journeyman Carpenters who have formwork and concrete and finishing experience. This will start in early March and preference will be given to candidates who live in or around Gordondale, BC.
Shift TBD, 12 hours/day.
Compensation / Benefits- Wages are based on experience.
- Overtime at 1.5× after 8 hours per day.
- Health, dental, vision, and travel benefits (50/50 split) after 90 days.
- 10% vacation and statutory holiday pay on all regular hours worked.
- Weekly pay.
- Long‑term disability, AD&D, life insurance, and dependent life insurance after 90 days.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Use power tools/hand tools to complete site‑specific form work.
- Assist with the installation of concrete structures.
- Follow all OCL safety regulations.
- Certified Journeyman Carpenter.
- Experience in system formwork (doka & peri).
- Previous experience in concrete finishing is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor.
- Knowledge of hand tools and mechanical equipment used in carpentry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must have WHMIS 2015, H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP, and GD2.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes.
- Must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be clean shaven.
