An additional 3% Location Allowance will be added to posted salary for northern location.
About the Job:
The Manager, Executive Operations (Manager) provides operational and strategic support to the Executive Vice Presidents (EVPs), ensuring that divisional programs and projects align with organizational objectives. This role coordinates divisional reporting, manages issues and materials, leads strategic initiatives, oversees divisional HR, records and financial operations. Acting as a key liaison between the EVP, senior leadership, and staff, the Manager drives organizational success through effective communication, project management, and operational excellence.

- Ensure the effective operation of the Executive Vice President’s Offices. Sets goals and objectives to achieve required business outcomes.
- Lead the development and execution of business plans and operational strategies to support the division’s mandate.
- Advise the EVPs on the alignment of corporate programs and strategic projects with organizational objectives.
- Monitor progress and report on strategic initiatives, identifying risks and recommending solutions.
- Manage issues by identifying emerging concerns, consulting on approaches, and coordinating timely responses.
- Resolve conflicting priorities, develop performance standards, and track outcomes.
- Assist in managing the flow of information (e.g., briefing notes, financial submissions, speaking notes, correspondence) and provide advice on amendments.
- Lead, coordinate and foster collaboration across teams from different departments to achieve project goals and ensure seamless execution of strategic projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities, internal communications, and best practice standards.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with senior leaders, technical staff, and stakeholders.
- Oversee, improve and streamline day‑to‑day operations, including financial management, contract administration, and resource allocation for the divisions. Identify and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, statutory requirements, and best practices.
- Support the EVPs in managing sensitive and confidential issues, with discretion.
Education: A degree from a recognized post‑secondary institution in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Financial Management and a minimum of five years related experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting senior management with confidential operational guidance to aid decision‑making.
Demonstrated experience assisting with the coordination of key operational projects, ensuring they align with organizational priorities.
Demonstrated experience applying strong decision‑making, communication and organizational skills to support divisional operations.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal teams and external contacts to help deliver divisional initiatives.
Demonstrated experience overseeing daily workflows and provide guidance to divisional staff to meet objectives.
Demonstrated experience tracking budgets and supporting procurement processes, ensuring financial accuracy.
Demonstrated experience proactively identifying and addressing operational challenges and communicating solutions to leadership.
Demonstrated experience managing varied workloads independently with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Demonstrated experience with office systems, project management principles and tools, overseeing assignments and information.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience working in an Executive Office.
