** SUMMARY
* * Field Technician I is accountable for collecting client samples from oil and gas wells and facilities within their assigned region.
** DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Must comply with Safety Responsibilities explained in the Safety Responsibility Policy (CA-ADMR-S24).
* Maintain confidentiality and impartiality.
* Maintain compliance with the Health, Safety, and Quality Management System requirements (i.e. performing /conducting activities (processes) in compliance with standard operating procedures, standard test methods and quality system procedures).
* Ensure that all safety infractions are reported in a timely manner.
* Contribute to the effectiveness of the Management Systems, including improvement of performance and reduction of nonconformities.
* Receive oilfield sample and log sample details into internal database system
* Maintain a safe, clean efficient workplace.
* Maintain regular communication with Calgary laboratory regarding field sampling and lab analyses requirements
* Perform sample shipping, ensuring transportation regulations of dangerous goods are being followed for shipments out of Fort St. John
* Perform additional duties as requested by senior staff
* Interact with clients to arrange field sampling schedules.
* Responds to client concerns and requests.
* Comply with safety regulations of oilfield clients.
* Perform field analysis and sampling of pressurized hydrocarbon gas and liquid samples and oilfield water samples as per “Field Services Standard Operating Procedures and Forms”.
* Accurately complete field sampling data sheets for all field work
* Travel/work out of town, as required
* Ensures the following regarding assigned field vehicle(s):  + Routine cleaning  + Routine Service  + Ensuring maintenance and repairs performed as and when required
** QUALIFICATIONS
* ** Secondary diploma or equivalent required.
* 2 years combined related experience and education preferred.
* Must hold a current driver’s license.
** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
*** Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Valid driver’s license and a good driving record required
