Position: Tremblay Elementary requires a 1.0 TERM Teacher
Location: Dawson Creek

Effective February 2, 2026 to March 13, 2026

This position is for Intermediate.

The successful candidate will have a background in Restorative Practice or be willing to take the training. The successful candidate will be willing to participate in Positive Classroom Discipline.

Tremblay Elementary School

Located in the heart of Dawson Creek, Tremblay Elementary is an energetic Kindergarten to Grade 7 school, home to approximately 190 students. We’re proud to offer a learning environment that highlights Music, Athletics, and Skills Development, helping students grow not only as learners, but as confident, creative, and capable individuals.

We’re also fortunate to have a Family Support Worker who helps connect families with community services, and a team of Educational Assistants who provide meaningful support throughout the school day.

Required Qualifications And Experience
  • Hold, or be qualified for, a valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
  • Successful K‑12 teacher training and practicum or evaluation documentation
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

  • Experience with adapting, and modifying, curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with diverse needs
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Experience working with students who display a variety of behaviours

  • Capacity to work independently and in collaboration with a team
  • Committed to individualized and group instruction utilizing a variety of effective strategies and techniques
  • Experience teaching in a multiage group setting
  • Engages in fair, student focused assessment practices consistent with the BC curriculum and reporting order, and reflects on evidence of learning to guide instruction
