Responsibilities
  • Loads and delivers warehouse inventory, following an assigned route to schools in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Operates a variety of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, furniture hand dollies, hand trucks, and stock pickers.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and disassembly/reassembly of warehouse equipment.
  • Assists in all warehouse operations as directed by the supervisor, including loading and unloading stock, assisting with inventories, and performing housekeeping duties.
  • Ensures all pulling, loading, and delivery tickets are accurately filled and delivered to specified locations, obtaining signatures for items delivered.
  • Verifies route quantities to ensure correct loading.
  • Provides exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Completes emergency deliveries as directed.
  • Restocks bins and shelves with supplies as needed.
  • Processes equipment, furniture, and supplies for distribution with proper identification affixed.
  • Assists in large‑scale moves at District Service Centers, schools, and other facilities as directed.
  • Assists with the setup of tables, chairs, portable stages, and choral risers for special events.
  • Picks up and delivers all items in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Works periodic unscheduled overtime on short notice as directed.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including vehicles, and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition according to established inspection procedures.
  • Follows established safety procedures and techniques for lifting and carrying; operates tools, equipment, and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedures.
  • Corrects unsafe conditions in the work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to the supervisor.
