Brief Description
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all the mobilization and demobilization of company equipment and driver resources for maximum efficiency on his or her shift. This position requires a superior level of customer service in a fast-paced, high pressure team environment. The dispatch room is the central nervous system of the company. You will help facilitate issues with every aspect of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- First point of communication with all drivers for all their daily needs and questions.
- Determine the optimal utilization of company and/or third‑party equipment to successfully meet customer demands and ensure timely delivery.
- Dispatch trip plans and various location status.
- Verify and coach drivers on utilizing their clocks appropriately.
- Assist with BOL audits.
- Assist with equipment swaps and moves by organizing necessary drivers.
- Communicate with drivers going on or coming off reset to ensure a smooth transition.
- Understand status of assigned well(s) and keep appropriate personnel informed.
- Utilize company software, Sand Drive, to its fullest capabilities.
- Forecast sand inventory levels and run daily reports for management.
- Ensure drivers adhere to their daily schedule and are ready to work at the appropriate times.
- Communicate with the RT maintenance team regarding breakdowns and other issues to ensure the truck is fixed in a timely manner.
- Communicate frequently with drivers and field operations to ensure safe and efficient sand delivery operations.
- Communicate with the customer on how the assigned wellsite is performing.
- Reroute and divert trucks accordingly to prevent and/or reduce demurrage.
- Manage high call volume and email communications throughout the shift.
- Ensure compliance with standard DOT and company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Prior experience in a customer service/Oil field, and logistics role strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic DOT rules and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work closely with drivers, company personnel, customers, and contractors.
- Able to work weekends and holidays, day and night shift.
- Computer proficiency and aptitude to successfully perform in a technology‑driven environment.
- Must be a self‑starter who works well with personnel, management, public, and customers.
- Ability to prioritize, problem‑solve, and efficiently manage a high volume of tasks.
- Mathematically inclined and proficient in Excel.
- Role requires sitting and working at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
