Traffic Rate Specialist

• Experience with Global Logistics/Traffic Office.
• Experience with routing of freight domestically and internationally.
• Experience with completion of Bill of Lading knowledge.

Prepare Domestic and International shipping documentation, route freight using standard routings, arrange transportation as required, accomplish bills of lading and other required shipping documentation. In addition to these requirements, the candidate must establish standard routings for shipments not dictated by contract negotiations or government or consignee direction; route and classify freight in accordance with National Motor Freight Classification guidelines. Arrange for specialized transport requirements such as classified, hazardous materials, over-dimensional items or any other shipments where standard routings do not apply.

Provide routing directions to vendors for inbound freight collect shipments when online routing guide does not specify a carrier. Assist in training other represented employees when required.

• SAP experience
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel) and knowledge of specialized transport requirements such as hazardous, explosives, government routed, over dimensional, classified shipments.
• Working knowledge of freight claims and National Freight Classifications (MNFC) Regulations.

Onsite full‑time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Secret. Position requires a government security clearance; US citizenship required.
