The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the logistics operations within our fleet company. This role involves coordinating the transportation and delivery of vehicles, parts, and materials, managing logistics staff, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. The Logistics Supervisor will play a critical role in maintaining high service levels and supporting the overall operational goals of the company.

Compensation
  • This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.
Hours of Operation
  • Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient transportation and delivery of fleet vehicles, parts, and materials.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of logistics coordinators and drivers.
  • Manage equipment assignments, maintenance repairs and records, and needs.
  • Assign and monitor daily tasks, ensuring team productivity and adherence to company standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and customers to schedule and manage deliveries and pickups.
  • Develop and maintain effective scheduling systems to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor inventory levels of vehicles, parts, and materials, ensuring adequate stock and timely replenishment.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet operational needs and priorities.
  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.
  • Identify areas for improvement in logistics operations and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Assist with development and updating of standard operating procedures for the logistics team.
  • Utilize logistics management software to track and analyze performance metrics, delivery schedules, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance to senior management.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing and resolving any logistics-related issues promptly.
  • Work closely with customers and internal departments to ensure their logistics needs are met effectively.
Requirements

MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination or management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software and other relevant technology. (Ie: Fleetwave, Concur, Foley and TMS systems etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Occasionally, will need to be able to work both inside the shop environment and outdoors.
  • Must be able to assist in lifting 50 lbs. as needed. (Hitches, tow bars etc.)
