Role Summary

The Logistics Specialist (LS) loads and unloads tires for warehouse storage and timely customer delivery, including unloading and staging products at customer locations. You represent Tire Hub professionally during all customer interactions, maintain safe driving practices, deliver exceptional customer service, and foster strong customer relationships.

Salary: starting wage $20.00 per hour with guaranteed increases of $2.00 over the first year.

Schedule:

Monday through Saturday – fluctuating day shift hours.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Distribute tasks among general warehousing, delivery services, and vehicle maintenance, adjusting as business needs evolve.
  • Load, unload, inspect, and tally tires to and from transport vehicles (trailer trucks, box trucks, delivery vans).
  • Follow safety standards for selecting, packing, counting, labeling, and palletizing customer orders, using the bin locator system.
  • Operate forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct and participate in cycle counts, tallies, and labeling for inventory control.
  • Collect payments from customers on Cash on Delivery transactions.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and mechanical condition; conduct pre/post‑trip inspections and report issues.
  • Complete driver and vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Ensure compliance with all Tire Hub policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training modules.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by a supervisor or leader.

Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of general work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and at least 2 years of driving history (no permit).
  • 19 years or older.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, pull, push, and move tires up to 50 lbs with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Capable of frequent bending, twisting, and lifting.
  • Multitasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Loads, unloads, and places tires efficiently.
  • Wears work up to 35 ft above ground level.
  • Operates forklift for up to 8 hrs per day.
  • Follows traffic rules and safely drives company vehicles to customer locations.
  • Works independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiar with Manifest, GPS, and navigation systems.
  • Maintains forklift certification and valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
  • Lifts, pulls, pushes, or moves tires (up to 50 lbs or more) following safety procedures; often standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
  • May handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment such as gloves and eyewear.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception; ability to adjust focus.
  • Works in non‑climate‑controlled warehouses and customer locations.
  • Extended day, evening, and weekend work (including Saturday) without advanced notice.
  • May drive at night or in inclement weather.
  • Must not exceed 400 lbs in weight or 6 ft 3 in in height for safety compatibility; reasonable accommodations are available under ADA and other laws.
