You will be the Software Engineer and will be responsible for the technology development lifecycle, including system and software design and collaboration, automation tooling and infrastructure improvements, and software integration. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, integrating, supporting, and debugging software
- Troubleshooting and supporting CI/CD build pipelines
- Supporting the virtual development labs and aircraft software processes
- Designing, developing and leveraging open-source, commercial and in-house software to support automation infrastructure
- Attending and participating in daily scrums, sprint reviews and technical demos
-Develop Embedded Software
-Integrate features/algorithms into C/C++ applications
-Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
-Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
-Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
-Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing team and must have demonstrated effective communication skills. The position will possibly require frequent inter-organizational customer interactions. Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study; or equivalent with minimum 3 years experience
• Experience with C and/or C++
• Experience with Linux or RTOS (real time operating systems) and associated development tool chains
• Experience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
*** Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance updated within the last 5 years to be considered.**

Skills:
Experience with developing software for avionics systems
• Experience integrating hardware and software
• Experience in scripting languages (e.g. python)
• Experience with build environments and tools (make and CMake)
• Experience using agile software development tools and methodologies (e.g. Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience with networking protocols (e.g. DDS, UDP, RTP, etc.)
• Experience with Modeling and Simulation (including familiarity with MATLAB)
• Ability to build and maintain relationships and collaborative effectively with others
• Strong decision making and judgment skills
• Experience mentoring and training junior engineers
Security Clearance Statement:
