Program Coordinator Exempt

Join Lifepoint Health® as a Program Coordinator Exempt. The Coordinator assesses needs of walk‑in and phone callers, schedules psychiatric assessments and triages patients, documents calls, and collaborates with the business office to ensure smooth admission transitions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess callers to ensure appropriate referrals to services or resources.
  • Schedule initial psychiatric assessments for patients seeking treatment of substance abuse, dual diagnosis, or psychiatric/emotional disorders.
  • Present symptoms to psychiatrist for care recommendations.
  • Triage patients to other treatment sources when appropriate.
  • Document calls and set appointments for treatment seekers.
  • Collaborate with the business office for admission processes.
Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime; may require vital checks on patients.

  • Adheres to hospital compliance plan, code of conduct, HIPAA guidelines.
  • Follows facility, department, corporate policies, and maintains professional appearance.
Teamwork
  • Takes initiative to assist team and remains flexible in other areas.
  • Demonstrates positive behaviors, handles conflict respectfully.
  • Contributes to a productive work environment.
Customer Service
  • Maintains a clean, safe environment and knows facility services.
  • Greets customers positively and attends to their needs.
  • Handles telephone calls following department guidelines.
  • Provides superior customer service within therapeutic boundaries.

  • Attends meetings and adheres to attendance requirements.
  • Shows initiative, completes work timely and accurately.
  • Acknowledges mistakes and learns from them.
