A Pipefitter/ Pipe Welder
Min. 5 yrs Pressure Pipe Welding Experience is required
Pay scale - $20.00 to 30.00/hr depending on experience & ability
A Pipefitter/Welder (or Pipe Welder) must be specialized in laying out, fabricating,
assembling, and installing high-pressure, industrial piping systems using specialized
welding techniques like MIG, TIG, or Stick welding. Will be required to interpret
blueprints, cut & prep pipes, and test systems for leaks in a manufacturing shop setting.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

? Fabrication & Installation:
Cutting, clean, fit, brace and assembling metal pipes
(carbon steel, stainless steel) according to project specifications. Will be required
to clean, paint and install all pipe runs with correct bolts & gaskets according to
project specifications.
? Welding:
Joining pipe segments permanently using welding processes such as
MIG, TIG, SMAW or Flux-core according to project specifications.
? Quality of work:
Must be able to perform all tasks to a high level of quality
without constant quality control or managerial supervision.
? Efficiency of work:
Must be able to work with other team members to
coordinate process in a timely manner.
? Blueprint Reading:
Interpreting isometric drawings, schematics, and layouts to
plan pipe routes. Must be able to read installation instruction for any special
components to ensure proper installation.
? Testing & Maintenance:
Performing hydrostatic or low pressure tests to detect
leaks, as well as document test according to project specifications
? Safety Compliance:
Must voluntarily follow all standard OSHA related to
working in welding shop with being told or reminded.
? Produce Safe Products:
Adhering to strict safety codes when working with
process piping, high-pressure steam, gases, or chemicals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

? Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency in pipe fitting methods and welding
techniques, often requiring certifications (e.g., ASME standards).
? Physical Stamina:
Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy materials, and
work at heights.

? Tools Proficiency:
Skilled in using level, torches, grinders, drill, saws, hand tools
and measuring instruments.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
