Job Overview

Hillman Outdoor Living LLC is seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Foreman to lead the day-to-day construction of high-end residential landscaping and hardscaping projects. This role is ideal for a skilled builder and field leader who understands how outdoor projects are physically built, not just managed.

As Project Foreman, you will lead field crews, coordinate subcontractors, and oversee daily jobsite activities. While not primarily responsible for hands-on construction, you will step in as needed to support the team, resolve issues, and maintain workflow. You are responsible for translating plans into finished work, upholding safety and quality standards, and keeping projects moving efficiently.

This position requires strong construction knowledge, leadership by example, and pride in craftsmanship.

As a family-owned company specializing in residential landscaping and hardscaping, we take pride in doing things the right way-on every project, every day.

Our team is the backbone of our success. We value communication, accountability, and continuous improvement, and we support leaders who take ownership of their work.

  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively before they impact schedule or quality
  • Communicate daily progress, issues, and needs to the team
  • Document job progress with photos, notes, and updates using smartphones or tablets
  • Use construction technology platforms such as Buildertrend, Company Cam, and Pool Studio
  • Operate hand tools and heavy equipment when necessary (preferred, not required)

  • 5-10+ years of hands-on experience in construction, landscaping, or hardscape installation
  • Proven experience leading crews in the field
  • Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Ability to read and understand plans, layouts, and grades
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Highly dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
