Powered Systems Mechanic Security Clearance

Position: POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Duties The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), technical authority responsible for coordinating the work of other journey-level workers to perform/advise scheduled or unscheduled inspections, repairs, replacements, troubleshoot, documentation, build-up, and tear down, flight line maintenance and operational runs of aircraft propulsion systems installed or uninstalled, and to provide training to all assigned reservist personnel as required in the accomplishment of duties set forth herein.

Duties: DUTY 1:
Inspects, troubleshoots, calibrates, installs, tests, repairs, removes, aligns, modifies, overhauls and performs major maintenance on complex powered and non-powered aerospace ground support systems and integrated sub-systems to include Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE). DUTY 2:
Performs periodic/scheduled, service, special inspections, TCTO's, OTI's and preventive maintenance on complex powered and non-powered aerospace ground support systems and integrated sub-systems to include Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE). DUTY 3:
Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, aligns, calibrates, and performs functional and final testing of integrated electronic systems, components, or subassemblies. DUTY 4:
Reviews, verifies and documents equipment/component forms/tags and Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) to reflect maintenance actions performed for on and off equipment to include initiating Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE) reports, i.e .; DULL SWORD Actions. DUTY 5:
Complies with safety standards in accordance with State and Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), AF Environmental Compliance Assessment Management Program (ECAMP) and Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), environmental protection practices and procedures, directives, technical orders (TO) and policies. QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-5300 Industrial Equipment Maintenance Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the work of a Powered Support Systems Mechanic without more than normal supervision. JOB ELEMENTS:
