Role OverviewA light and heavy truck mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and service of various types of trucks, ranging from light-duty vehicles to heavy-duty commercial trucks. These professionals ensure that trucks operate efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime for TRP and our customers that depend on reliable transportation.
Requirements- Conduct routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems in the engine, transmission, brakes, and other systems.
- Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, including engines, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and braking systems.
- Inspect and test vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, services, and maintenance activities.
- Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment to pinpoint mechanical issues.
- Interpret diagnostic results to determine the necessary repairs.
